Lotus Counselling & Therapy

Optimising mental health

through trauma informed care

Mental health is more than just a diagnosis; it's relationships and experiences.

Lotus Counselling & Therapy is a mental health service that supports and treats individuals, couples, families, adolescents and children. Treatment plans draw upon evidence based psychological approaches, Social Work disciplines, trauma informed care, Mindfulness Based Strategies, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychotherapy & Psychodynamic strategies.

We believe that people are intrinsically resourceful.

We collaborate and engage in an equal partnership with you to optimise your mental health by experiencing interdependent relationships with your self, others and the land or environment. This can often improve the quality of someone’s life, their meaning and purpose which assists in reducing symptoms of depressions, anxiety and other mental illnesses.

Cultivating hope, adjusting to grief, loss and loneliness, stoking love and connection, healing intergenerational trauma, recovering from sexual assault, rape and other complex traumas take time and the role of a therapist is often imperative in this process. We acknowledge that taking the step to engage with Lotus Counselling & Therapy symbolises significance.
